With Black Fridays, Christmas and New Year sales upon us, Kim & Karen loves a good bargain as much as the next! Brides are certainly heading into the best period for snapping up a good deal on a wedding dress. Whatever dress you choose to buy it’s advisable to be smart and to not be fooled into being impulsive.
Kim & Karen recommend the following tips:
1. Do your research and know what you want.
RESEARCH RESEARCH AND MORE RESEARCH! Scan the internet (we recommend Pinterest) to create a mood board on your dream wedding dress. Go on bridal forums and talk to other brides-to-be to get a comprehensive list of the forthcoming sale dates for wedding dresses.
2. Go and try on wedding dresses!
Don’t hold back and try on as many dress styles as you can until you reach a concrete conclusion on the specific style that looks best on you. Once you found THE ONE you will know exactly how the dress makes you feel, how it moves, and critically an indication of the price!
3. Know why the dress is on sale.
In Kim & Karen’s case we are having a sample sale in celebration of the launch of our website. However there are a number of reasons why a wedding dress is on sale, such as dresses that have been tried on by lots of brides and are therefore not looking too fresh (the dress can be easily dry cleaned but at a cost), or even discontinuation of a certain fabric/lace (which may make it difficult for adjustments).
4. Processes and Costs
Whatever dream dress you choose to go with, one key point is to be aware that all wedding gowns will need to be fitted and tailored to fit your body. Make sure you understand the process, duration and costs involved in having it altered to fit you.

Good luck and all the best of the hunt for your dream wedding dress!
